Before I got into what I wrote, my main fic (the Stardew Valley Penny/Maru fic) was written by lilacsigil, and my treat was written by FireEye (who wrote five fics for the Fatal Frame series this year, I believe! Or at least everything except the one that I wrote). Glad you're definitely feeling better, FireEye!

Summary:

Takumi finds refuge in a shop owned by somebody who shouldn't even be alive.

So, my recipient wanted Takumi/Yuuji, happy ending with their respective found families, was okay with Generic Fantasy, and with Takumi as a werewolf.

I really wanted to write an epic fantasy where the two of them hashed their differences out in an adventure, but it didn't quite happen. :( So, I reworked elements and used the general world that I'd created for a fic called "Like The Young Hours". Katida from that fic showed up (she was named after one of my Fantasy Life OCs, and she and Yuuji mentioned Teoreikaa, who Katida was heading out to see at the end of "Like The Young Hours". I stuck an apostrophe in her name during the anonymous period so that people wouldn't be able to find that fic. The adventure that Yuuji mentions (the Gnome outpost and Castle Whiterock) were my plans for the story that didn't happen. Those two locales were from "Sinister Secret of Whiterock" and "Castle Whiterock" (both from Goodman Games for D&D 3.5E) respectively, and I would have been using the maps from at least "Sinister Secret of Whiterock" (and possibly a location from "Castle Whiterock").

In translating the universe into a fantasy world, I made Smart Brain into the Society of the Erudite Mind. I gave Yuuji and his family a general store, made Keitaro's laundry (which I didn't think quite fit in the world) into a bar, and figured Takumi would make a pretty decent bartender. Takumi, Yuuji, and the other Orphenochs were going to be a variant lycanthrope.

And since it was a fantasy world, of course I could handwave how Yuuji and Yuka are still alive....

If I do write a sequel, I'll finish it before posting.

Hilda wants to concentrate on the upcoming Raid Battle, not listen to someone prattle on.

I grabbed this pinch hit the second time it showed up on the list, because I'd been wanting to write Pokemon GO but I don't really follow the fandom. (I will mention Spark is my favorite character, even if I chose a different team.)

So, Hilda gets to sit there and be annoyed, while her niece Alexandra is more laid back, and Joel talks way way too much. As I mention in the author's notes, I tried to write Pokemon GO as if it was not a cellphone game.

Joel is named after a man I know who doesn't play himself but keeps asking me when I'm going to get a Alakazam (I've gotten quite a few Abras and evolved a Kedavra, but I just can't find a new Abra nest to get the remaining powder so I can get my Alakazam.) Thus the name of Joel's cats! My partner is still a Magikarp, but I did name it Goshdarnit for similar reasons (it showed up in a park, but that park was not that far away from a river so more understandable). Yami, the Murkrow (I adore Murkrows) was named after the Japanese version of its name. Since my recipient was not familiar with the game series (and I'm only familiar with Gen 1, but I did research on this one), I left that out.

I went for this one because of course, they requested Farmer/Maru, and I'm almost the only person who writes Female Farmer/Maru, so of course I had to do something! (Of note, not a lot of people write Maru/Farmer at all; I think I've seen two other people write that pairing, and one was a multi-pairing for the Farmer. And there's only one for Maru/Male Farmer!)

The recipient wanted Maru working on her gadgets post-marriage, so she did! Some of them are mods (the chest teleport is definitely one that I use on a regular basis!), but some of them are not. Petronella is named after Petronella Osgood because of course I didn't want to use my Alyssa on an anon story! Maru just kept coming up with ideas and I kept writing them, I guess!

I wasn't planning on writing Mason for this request (and I really should have gifted it to the person who actually requested Mason, instead of the person who probably really wanted Hayes), but that's what happened! I wrote most of it based on memory because I couldn't find my copy of the game at first, and then I did and added in things like the cooking date and how Mason felt about Avery learning to cook.

Trivia: the Japanese Cosplayers that Finley mentions in the beginning are not cosplayers at all, but Naga and Balance from Kyuranger spending time together, per the person's request. Gamma Leonis is also known as the star Algeiba.

(I named him John to obscure that it was me, and just gave the farm a random name.)

I don't mention it very often, but I was quite fond of the original Voltron (or at least Lion Voltron; I though Vehicle Voltron was okay but nothing to write home about). I watched ever single episode and while my favorite in any incarnation will be Pidge, I rather liked Sven. So when gingayellow asked for Romelle/Sven, I was happy to do so. I reviewed canon (by some luck, it's not hard to find the Voltron: DOTU episodes on there) and wrote this teensy tinsy ficlet about Romelle.

I almost didn't write Fatal Frame this year (which is astonishing, I have to admit), but the idea of a role swap in elwing_alcyone's promts just grabbed me and didn't let go until I had Rei in Reika's place (in some ways, they're so much alike!), Yuu kind of in Kaname's, and Miku and Miu being mentioned as one of the reasons that Rei is willing to become the priestess. I'm pretty sure that Yuu would have been dead, but since he was swapped with Kaname, maybe not! Someday I might get in a modern-day Reika with a modern-day Kaname getting pulled into the Manor of Sleep, and also getting Miku and Miu as ghosts (possibly replacing the mother and daughter who are your first battle in Fatal Frame III!). Of course, Kei and Mafuyu could show up as well, I think.

This was kind of a belated gift for blueinkfrost, who made my Yuletide of 2014 a bit better by commenting where my still-absent recipient did not (on "Is But A Weapon", Sekirei fandom, which was a pinch hit). I did not realize when I wrote it that I'd be writing the first (and so far, only) hit for Defender's Quest, a hybrid tower defense/RPG that has plenty of snark.

I chose to write from Bekal's POV. I did have to do canon review to make sure I had my details right about his background and such, but I only had to get to the Royal Records Room, so it wasn't too bad. I sympathize with Bekal so much and he was easier to write than anybody else (I could have written Azra, but I went with Bekal because the idea for this came up first.)
