Hi, Yuletide writer (and anybody else who is reading this)!

Its's another year, and another Yuletide, and so it's time again to do my letter. I've finally narrowed down my list for this year! Note that I spoiler fandoms freely in this letter, so please be wary if you haven't finished a canon.

Ratings, etc: Write any rating you like, and I'm cool with slash, femslash, gen, het, and poly.

Likes: Fluff, curtainfic, hurt/comfort. People working through grief in a positive or at least upward manner. That being said, some of my fandoms are pretty dark (hi, Fatal Frame universe!) and I'm cool with darkfic in horror fandoms.

DNWs: I'm very vanilla when it comes to sex and would prefer no kinks (especially those that involve bodily functions). I also have a big humiliation squick - it makes it hard to watch comedies.

Variable: I don't have a problem with same sex incest between siblings (or sibling bonds), but the idea of (closely) related people having a kid squicks me. PWP is fine, as is A/B/O, but please do not do PWP A/B/O - I like worldbuilding with my porn.

Crossovers: I have no problem with crossing over any of my selections with each other. In addition, if you want to pull in anybody from the other Fatal Frame media, be my guest (though I'm very behind with the manga and haven't seen the movie). You can also cross over Kamen Rider series or Super Sentai series if you like. If you're familiar with Hisone to Masotan/Dragon Pilot: Hisone & Masotan, Kamisama Hajimemashita/Kamisama Kiss, or the Saw universe, I'd be happy to see a crossover with any of them. Please avoid crossovers with anything I haven't specified above (though cameos are fine).

Other: For fandoms where I've chosen more than one character, please feel free to use only one or some (or even none, if you're worldbuilding).

Now, onto the fandoms. They're in alphabetical order by AO3 tag (so Fatal Frame III is last).

Fantasy Life
(Yuelia, Player Character)

One of my online friends introduced me to Fantasy Life (and is responsible for me getting my 2DS). I can spend hours in this game. I probably love the crafting lives the most, and especially Tailor, though Blacksmith is a close second (and Miner a close third). I'm really good at the Tailor minigame. I just like doing things - making clothes, forging swords, smiting evildoers, and so on. I'm using the North American terms, for the most part.

There are two things that I'm interested in: Worldbuilding, and The Adventures of Player Character and Butterfly/Flutter.
* Where does everybody live? There aren't that many houses in any of the towns.
* Where do people on Origin Island do crafting? Ditto for Terra Nimbus/Levitania.
* I've tackled this before, but I'd like to see your take on the Bounty Clerk of Origin Island. Was she with Larkin when he crashed, or is there a small human settlement?
* We're told by the old man that nobody's taking up a Life, but for the most part they look like they do. What is he talking about?
* How do people see this young savior of the world? I mean, he/she/they started out as a beginner in a single life, and by the time they're done, they might be a Master (if not higher) in several. Surely this generates some gossip.
* Do people need sleep? After all, you can be out for several days before going to bed.
* I ship Yuelia/Player Character (and when I'm not shipping them, I tend to ship Player Character/Damien just because it's so ludicrous that Demona would ever accept the Player Character), and would love them just spending time together, maybe in the Royal Cabin.
* The Player Character and Yuelia having an adventure - either something at a certain part in the storyline or just having adventures with rocks and random bounties.

Final Fantasy II
(No characters)

Be ye wantin' a ride?

This was my first Final Fantasy game, and still holds a place in my heart. The same reasons that turn people away from the game - the bizarre levelling mechanic, along with the lack of levels - is something I love. (Strangely enough, I don't have my characters bash each other with weapons.) I like Firion and co, because you get just enough personality and enough world to create stories out of. I really love Maria and Minwu, and if I'd had space, I would have nominated them. The only thing that makes me twitch is some very pidgin dialogue in one part of the game (if you've played it, you know which part).

There are no characters nominated for this game, so worldbuilding it is! Having the main characters appear is fine.
* What was it like in any town before, during, or after the events of the game?
* Do the masks teleport back, or are there going to be some very interesting people in masks sailing to Mysidia in search of their property?
* What is it like to be part of the Rebellion?
* How does Mechanon function? Is there any chance that the main characters will be able to see the dead characters again? (I'd really like Minwu to have a conversation with the main team.)
* How were the main characters seen after the events of the story? Did they settle down somewhere? I'd like to meet their neighbors.
* I'd really like to see anybody's parents and/or (future) kids. The only parent we see is Hilda's father.
* Pretty much, if you want to write me worldbuilding, I'll be very happy to see what you build!


Kamen Rider Blade
(Yamanaka Nozomi)

I'm not afraid!

I was introduced to Kamen Rider Blade the year it aired, and it still remains one of my favorite series. I have to admit, I liked Mutsuki a lot - whiny teenager that he was, he was a realistic whiny teenager to me. I loved the story of Blade, how things flowed together and how everybody interacted - both good guys and bad guys alike.

Nozomi is my favorite character of the series, an ordinary teenager who has to deal with a possessed boyfriend (who then becomes unpossessed and then spends the rest of the series going into danger of his own free will) and summons up courage to deal with the world that she's wandered into.

* Nozomi and Jo: I really wanted to see more of their interaction (heck, if you can figure out how to ship a tiger monster with a teenage girl, go right ahead, I'd love it)! I want to see them have a good long conversation, even if it's in somebody's dream.
* Nozomi meets Mutsuki for the first time.
* Give this girl a chance to have fun! I mean, other than watching Mutsuki play basketball, have her go out and go shopping, or spend time with friends. I want her to have a life.
* Nozomi interacting with Shima would be cool as well.
* Honestly, I'd just love to have more Nozomi!

Kamen Rider Drive
(Shijima Kiriko, Chase)

I want to believe that somewhere deep down inside of you is a part that wants to protect humans!

It took me a while to warm up to Drive (and I still haven't warmed up to Gou), but I really liked its theme of families, both found and made. Kiriko and Chase are my favorite characters - Kiriko because she was competent, and Chase because of his backstory. I headcanon that Kiriko thinks of the Roidmudes as younger siblings of a sort when she learns about the connection between them and her father. I also ship Kiriko/Chase, which makes that interesting! (I also do not ship Kiriko/Shin at all.)

* A younger Kiriko and Gou have an adventure (I'm a sucker for kids-having-adventures fic). Maybe they encounter the Roidmudes.
* The adventures of Kiriko as Drive!
* Kiriko and her "younger siblings" spend time together.
* Canon-wise, I'd love to see Rinna and Kiriko working together on weapons for Kiriko.
* Chase tries to figure out where his loyalties lie as his memories return.
* Any of the series scenes with Chase from his POV - especially early on. I'd like to see him interact with Heart, too.
* Chase tries to figure out how to human. He's not very good at it, but he tries to be a good boyfriend/friend to Kiriko.

Runaways (TV 2017)
(Gertrude Yorkes, Karolina Dean, Molly Hernandez, Nico Minoru)

Do killers really bawl their eyes out like my mom just did?

Like a lot of my picks this year, I chose the tv series Runaways because it had to do with both found and born families. I really enjoyed seeing how the teens not only worked on their way towards being a family of choice, but also dealt with their biological families (and the Pride falling apart as the teens came together). I realize that season 2 will release in December, just before story reveals, but I've been reading the information and I'm cool with the information from interviews/leaks being incorporated.

* I'd really love to see more Gert & Molly bonding, either during, before, or after the events of season 1. They might not be biological sisters, but they're close to it.
* Gert and her adventures with Old Lace and/or her parents, the dorks.
* More of Molly and Graciela! I really enjoyed seeing them together.
* Karolina and the Church - not only scenes with her parents, but what it's like to grow up as a sort of pastor's daughter. (I love theology, and even though that's not really covered in the series I'd be interested in seeing more about what the rituals, etc are.)
* I ship Nico/Karolina and I'd just love some kind of future curtainfic.
* Nico and Amy being sisters, spending time together with Alex if you want.
* Fluff about any of the above with their parents, either before the events of the series or an AU/futurefic story where they've reconciled.

Zero Shisei no Koe | Fatal Frame III: The Tormented (Project Zero 3)
(Hinasaki Miku, Kurosawa Rei)

Oh... I just wanted... to ask...

Fatal Frame III (as it's called where I live) is about grief, loss, and really not coping well with either, to the detriment of oneself and the people around them. It brings the events of games 1 and 2 together and adds a third to the tragic lore of the series. I love all the characters in the game, but the ones I've chosen are Rei and Miku because of the issues they are facing in the game.

For this canon request, please feel free to write darkfic. I love the tragedies of the Fatal Frame universe! The one exception is that I really don't like what happened to Miku in Maiden of Dark Water (the revelation squicks me a lot) so please skip the relation of Fatal Frame 3 to Miu's backstory. I ship Miku/Kei (and would be fine with Miu being their kid) and I have a crackship in Miku/Sae.

* Miku may have come out of her coma after Rei fixes things for Reika, but she's far from healed. Rei (and Kei, if you choose the new game+ ending) try to help her heal, but is it too late?
* Miku has a conversation (but nothing else) with Mafuyu as Rei fixes things.
* Miku spending time with Yuu as he tries to help her sort out her feelings after the canon ending for Fatal Frame I.
* Miku on a date (or a "date") with one of my pairings. This could be as light or as dark as you desire.
* Rei meets with Yuu the first time, or any time with them together.
* Rei doesn't get involved with the whole Manor adventure, and she's really not coping well. I'd like to see her (and Miku, who is now suffering the loss of Yuu and Mafuyu) fall apart.
* Rei in the future, either falling in love again, becoming a famous photographer, or growing old with Yuu in an AU.


Where to find these fandoms:
* Fantasy Life is a 3DS game. It's rare to find full playthroughs of it, though you can find quite a few partial playthroughs on Youtube.
* Final Fantasy II has been around for years (and does not feature a character named Cecil). The most common way to play it nowadays is on iOS or Android. There are also a lot of playthroughs for this on Youtube.
* Kamen Rider Drive and Kamen Rider Blade are Japanese series that for the most part do not have official subs or dubs. They have unofficial fansubs that aren't hard to find with a quick search.
* Runaways was aired on US Hulu and is probably available in other places.
* Fatal Frame III is a PS2-only game, though it's not hard to find copies if you happen to have a PS2 (or a downloaded copy on later Playstations). It's extremely easy to find playthroughs on Youtube for this game.
