Ah, to get referenced on Reddit

estiroseSo, I all of a sudden got two comments on an Esperanto-language fic I posted on AO3 in 2010. (Along with a couple of random English-language fics where the comment was only "Kudos".) One was congratulating me for being the first Esperanto-language author on AO3, one boiled down to "Great story, would you like some help correcting some minor errors?"
Thought it was odd, so I poked the first place I thought of - the r/Esperanto subreddit - and found that said fic (Li Ne Estas) had been referenced there under the "Historio" (historical) flair. The title text translates as: "Here's the first Esperanto fic on AO3. It was published on March 15, 2010. Because of this story, Esperanto was added as an available language on AO3."
Kind of neat that I'd be involved in a historical anything. Totally forgot I was indirectly responsible for Esperanto being added to AO3.
