December's always a bit interesting because of Yuletide (and the sheer amount of fics I write for it, mostly in fandoms I don't normally write in). I've done AO3's hit count with and without the Yuletide fics, just because they tend to skew things so much.
The top entry in all three is from Disney's Mulan, though one of them is a new Yuletide fic and the others are "Versal and Marginalia". Once again, "Losing Touch" is popular on FFN, and "Lying Naked" on AO3. My pinch-hit, "And If You Believe" (Sapphire and Steel, a British SF series), got a nice amount of hits, as did my fill, "With The Grace of a Child". (My Treat for my recipient, "All Things In Time", did nicely too.)
I find it interesting that two of the top ten on FFN are from "Harder to Be Brave, Easier to Hide", and actually, the entire sequence on that site did pretty well. The unfinished "Dreamt-of Call", "Unstuck Country" and "Scent of Roses" also did pretty well, and oddly enough, odd "Terolalaine" ends up in the top ten too. The AO3 non-Yuletide list was heavy with last year's Yuletide fics ("Versal and Marginalia", "Songuisendus Anuncemise", "Doomed, the Minion", "Loki and the Cup of Jonar", and "Lay Your Body Down") and most of the rest were Gokaiger.
Since my plan this year is to continue finishing fics, I expect some of these will finish and drop off the charts. (Though I can never tell; "Losing Touch" seems like it's going to be in the top ten for a while.) We'll have to see.
(ETA: Once again, my Esperanto fics got a fair amount of hits on AO3, though not enough to land any of them in the top tens. I continue to be amused that "Falanta" tends to get more hits than "Falling"!)
