FFn is being annoying.

I went to post a new chapter yesterday (under GraVirTy, which I'm pretty much leaving be/abandoning as soon as the one fic is done.) 24 hours later, the site was still telling me the chapter did not exist.
Noticing that other fics were posting okay, I decided to delete the chapter and repost it in hopes that it actually would post this time. Of course, after I deleted the chapter, the story maintenance section went really weird. Nothing would load. And then I couldn't connect with the normal browser I use for that PenName. (I was able to load the site in order to complete reposting the chapter on another computer, and later was able to load the site on the normal browser.) It finally posted this evening.
I'm not happy. Support requests on ffn seem to go into a black hole, so I didn't even bother to contact them. I think I'm gradually moving most of my fic to AO3, because they do answer (if eventually), and start removing fic on ffn under Estirose. (With certain exceptions, and there is one new fic that will probably post there.) Any other nicks on ffn will just be abandoned.
I wish I could just tell people to start reading me on AO3, but because of anti-spam measures, I can't even link to AO3. :(
In the meantime, I've started posting my GraVirTy fics to AO3. I have myself on subscription, and I didn't get a notification for the first fic under that penname that I posted, so I presume that any fics posted that way will not trigger an email if you just have me subscribed under my main nick. (Which may not be a bad thing, because the first fic I posted under that was/is my one and only mpreg. The other two are pretty standard Ziggy-focus fics, though.)

Date: 2012-02-01 06:49 pm (UTC)I mostly have stuff on ffn because it's still a popular site, though now it's less relevant.
