Fatal Frame 2 runthrough 2

estiroseSo, after the last time I wrote about this:
Note: Spoilers. I know more than I should at this part because of the video walkthroughs, and it shows.
* Redid Miyako/Wanderer, this time with no damage.
* Box woman, too, but she was easy.
* Had to redo one of Mayu's few rounds, but that was easy.
* Met Man in Dark, the II equivalent of Bound Man. Will get the hang of him eventually.
* Got to gate after Mayu as Mio, and goshdangit, I hate Pole Bearer. Mostly because I can't see him.
* Ducked into Kiryuu(?) house. Met projector room, a herbal medicine, and the stun lens.
* Spent a lot of time misplacing the butterflies I was supposed to be following. Finally got to the right area. Met Itsuki/White Haired Imprisoned Boy. I think Itsuki's the only character where I haven't been really impressed by the animation, considering the game's age. It's still heartwarming to hear him tell you that he'll be there if you need help. (I have a feeling that this will cause heartbreak later on, for some reason.) However, there is a reason why I yelled "I'm not Yae! I exorcised her in I!" Because, of course, Itsuki thinks Mio is Yae, Miku's great-grandmother.
* Headed down to the place where we started, because I remember the playthroughs said part 1 of my item quest was there.
* Upon picking up the item, of course was attacked by three ghosts. One of which was Pole Bearer. FML.
* Somewhere along the way (like right after Box Woman, I think), upgraded camera. Apparently spirit orbs control how often you can upgrade your camera, and something else determines how often you can use your special functions.
* Anyway, I used tactics from I to drop camera and run and then up camera again. It's bad form in II, and I should move with camera up more often, but not in dark areas! Seriously, I need a brighter screen.
* When the guide said "expect random ghosts if you explore the cemetery", I was seriously not expecting another Pole Bearer. Frigging heck! Good thing herbal medicine is a lot more common so far in II than in I, and heals more. I still have no idea who was attacking beside him, because I never saw them.
Good news is that all three of my basic functions are at level 1. I see farther, I hit harder, and I can use more special functions. That being said, I am getting a lot more spooked in II than I was in I.
