intoabar assignment. I am having Yae of Fatal Frame meet up with Wataru of Kamen Rider Kiva, apparently.
Kiva has canon time travel. Fatal Frame has it to a much more limited extent (mostly Himuro Mansion warping itself back in time).
Now, I can take Yae from any time between the events of Fatal Frame II to pretty much 1986, when Fatal Frame happens, though for part of that time, she's a ghost.
Wataru was born somewhere in the late 1980s, but the series had time travel from 2008 to 1986. Of course, Wataru was extremely busy during his time travel trips and I'd have to check what dates he was in 1986. Miku was in Himuro Mansion in early October, 1986.
ETA: Otoya was admitted on December 17, 1986, if I'm reading the sign on his hospital bed correctly in episode 44. Wataru shows up at that point, so he had to have arrived sometime in mid-December. He does go to the Mal d'Amour either in 44, 45, or cut scenes. Since part of Yae is still stuck at Minakami, regretting her choice, it's entirely possible that she's still hanging about instead of going to the afterlife after her great-granddaughter Miku frees all the spirits at Himuro.
And it makes sense for Yae to be drawn to Wataru; she's still got issues regarding Mikoto and Sae, and he's got issues regarding Mio at that point in time. Plus, ghosts are one of the Demon Races in Kiva, apparently, and living on human life energy works somewhat with how ghosts kill in the Fatal Frame games.
I think I have a plot! Or at least a where and when and a general idea. I'm getting a small clarification regarding something, but I'm good otherwise.
