1. The lantern at Misono Hill is in a different place.
2. You have to hold the button down to open doors/reach for things for the first few doors (and for a couple of doors later on).
3. The first battle with Miyako Sudo is now in the Family Altar room. She was a door ghost in the PS2 version.
4. The servants' room door is closed in chapter 1, with no option to open it.
5. There's a new picture you can take, of Woman in Box with a radio. Or at least she looks like Woman in Box.
6. No spirit orbs! Instead you get crystals which give you points.
7. Mayu cannot run in her section.
8. The herbal medicine in the room with Woman in Box is now right next to her box.
9. Woman in Box now teleports and drifts side-to-side.
10. Men in Dark now see better. And apparently are not called that anymore.
11. [I was wrong on this one; you always pick up Masumi's notes from where Miyako's ghost was]
12. You can put your points into a fourth option, which makes your film reload faster.
13. The picture provided by the gate ghost (on the gate that goes to Kurosawa House) is now of Itsuki and his prison, not butterflies. You still get led by butterflies to Itsuki, though.
14. Masumi's Well Checker image now shows up right after you pick up his report, the same for his other three.
15. The evade function shows up near the well, maybe after you've picked up Masumi's report.
16. There's now this thing (Dark Return?) which makes ghosts stick around and be pain in the asses even after dying.
17. Now you can tell where the ghosts are coming from due to a directional set of lights. They glow blue for vanishing/hidden ghosts, and red/orange for hostiles. This makes it a lot easier to find the ghosts.
18. The film reload, instead of being a row of dots at the top on the PS2, is now at the bottom and easier to spot.
19. Did I mention the ghostly hand? It shows up when you're reaching for objects. It likes me a lot. It can cause damage if you're not quick.
20. The keys to the Kurosawa gate are now in different places. The one that was at Misono Hill is now in the cemetery, and the one that was next to Kiryu is now down towards the shrine. You still have to fight the villagers when you get back to Misono Hill, though. And apparently they got rid of the whole Man In Dark encounter.
21. There's either a nasty random encounter or I just keep having bad luck, but I had to fight about nine villagers when I got back to Osaka house.
22. There is now a herbal medicine on a support strut to the left of the bridge to Kurosawa.
23. Sunken Woman now spits water. Either that, or my screen got very wet.
24. Terrified Crouching Man is easier to see.
25. There's a save point right near where you go in to see Sae and the Kusabi.
26. It looks like the folklorist may be showing up after you have the whole Limbo Man/Woman battle. Not completely sure.
27. You can get a sacred water at the window next to the door to the flashing light room, but you have to battle another Limbo Man.
28. The Limbo Man after you get back down the stairs now doesn't pop up until you try to get the shiny.
29. You now have to investigate the door to get the child peeking.
