Er, wha? (Rune Factory IV)

I've had bad experiences with Harvest Moon but I love Stardew Valley (and you can apparently almost do a gay option in RF IV), and Rune Factory is probably the closest I can get to Stardew Valley on the 2DS/3DS for some reason.
This is apparently the first Rune Factory where you can start as a woman instead of a man. That is great! However, their way of having you choose a gender is by selecting a line of dialogue. You can easily figure out which one is the woman's by the sheer fikanta stereotypicalness.
Sigh.
I mean, there will be subtleties when translating from any other language, but the translators should know better.
