Dear Yuletide writer (and potential bringers of treats),

Hi there! I’m not scary. Most of the time. I promise. Boring, maybe. But not scary most of the time. I’m also fairly easy to write for, I think.

I’m requesting four fandoms this time instead of three, so please bear with me.

Mio min Mio / Mio My Son, Astrid Lindgren (All characters, Gen)

On the extremely, extremely off chance that you share this as a fandom with me, pleased to meet you! I ran across this book purely by accident and sometimes can’t decide whether to throttle Bosse/Mio or love him. I started reading it in Swedish (with a dictionary – I’m far from fluent), finished it in English, and my mind still uses the Swedish names.

I’d love any fic in this fandom, but if you’re looking for anything specific, I love fics dealing with friendships and relationships. I’d love a fic, for example, that talks about Bosse/Mio and his father, the King, or any of his friends. Or, if you don’t want to do that, an exploration of Sir Kato would be nice.

Final Fantasy II (Video game) (All characters)

I discovered this by accident when I was looking for a new game on my iPod. I love the game – I’m running through it a second time after finishing Soul of Rebirth – but I also love the fact that there are stories going on here, stories that are understandably not explored in canon, given its limits. (I understand there’s backstory in Japanese, but I’m following the English game.)

If you ended up matched with me on this fandom, hi! I ship Maria/Firion in general, but I’m very happy with whatever you want to explore. If you like prompts, I’d love something on what it means to be traveling about, battling monsters and bosses and trying to save the world. I’d also like Minwu-based fic; I’d like to see something about him, how he chose to be what he is. Gordon and Hilda, establishing a relationship during war is something else that would be nice.

Mei-chan no Shitsuji (tv) (Mei, Kento, Rihito)

I got into this one because there were several Kamen Rider actors in it, and I stayed for the storyline.

Hi, fellow Yuletider! If you got me for this one, well, I know the canon is Rihito/Mei, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Kento/Mei. So, if you could write me a nice story that is a Mei/Kento fic, that would be good, even if it is AU. If you’re not into that, I’d love something that talks about either of the brothers as butler to Mei, or Kento or Rihito watching her pre-series, knowing that they may be her butler someday.. Don’t panic if you find yourself writing Rihito/Mei; I might prefer Kento but I’m cool with that. I sometimes think that Mei has room in her heart for both.

Kamen Rider Kiva (Taiga)

I’ve been a fan of the various Kamen Rider series since 2004; Kiva and Blade are probably my favorites. I have a weak spot for vampire storylines and dhampir characters (and I have to admit, cute guys who are dhampirs).

If you got me for this one, hello fellow writer! I’m a fan of the Taiga/Wataru pairing, but don’t feel that you need to write it (for one, I know this squicks people and two, I got a really good fic last year for this pairing). If you are so inclined, however, then feel free. This year, I’d like to explore Taiga’s relationships with someone, romantic or non-romantic. Some possibilities for you to think about: Maya and Taiga, during or after the series, what Maya means to Taiga; his relationship with Mio, what he felt having her as his partner, the brotherly relationship and how Taiga’s own prejudices affected it; or even looking at Masao and what he means to Taiga.

In general:

* I enjoy relationships over explosions. I want to know how people feel rather that know about who they’re literally hitting.

* I have no problem with slash, het, or gen. I generally don’t do incest – Taiga/Wataru is my exception because Taiga is, er, *special*. It’s also the only pairing that I’d be comfortable with mpreg. (I have a vague notion that somewhere in the Japanese backstory for FFII, Firion was adopted into Maria’s family, but I tend to follow in-game English canon only.)

* Any rating is fine. I generally write fic that’s not explicit, but that doesn’t mean that you have to stick to that.

* No noncon, dubcon is okay but I shy away from it, shotacon is not my thing. Deathfics are okay but warn. I’m more a fan of drama than comedy, but I’m not adverse to it if that’s what you write.

ETA: If you’re itching to write Yuletide treats but none of these quite appeal, there are more prompts over here, all in eligible 2010 fandoms. (Interestingly enough for the <1000 word treats, it’s quite acceptable to write in fandoms that the recipient likes but were not among their 3-4 offers, as long as they’re in eligible fandoms. So, for example, even though I didn’t include Wolf Lake in my offers this year, because I like the series, it’s quite okay to write a short Madness-size Treat for me.)
