scifisentai put in a request for a fic based on the icon above. (That's Todoroki of Hibiki, in case you can't see him.) Despite the title, the only nakedness is in canon.

Summary: Zanki is graceful when naked. Todayama is not.
Word count: 281
Todayama remembered Zanki-san telling him about how the suits burned off every shred of clothing one was wearing during henshin. Telling him more than once, even, though that hadn't been necessary once Todayama had started going out in the field with Zanki-san and had been the one to bring the Oni his spare set of clothing. He supposed that Oni learned to be naked gracefully, they did it so often.
Zanki-san always looked graceful, even without clothes on. The man had a dignity about him that was there even when his clothes weren't. He was a man that Todayama was glad he had followed, a man who had been stern, but had given the police officer a new life, a new thing to fight for.
But being an Oni, a trainee Oni, had its disadvantages. Once he started transforming, working with Zanki-san, being his backup, he learned what it was like to drop out of transformation with nothing left on. Zanki-san had given him a patient, amused grin the first time he dropped out of transformation, standing naked in a field with thankfully nobody else around. Then Zanki-san had taught him to partial transform, to get to someplace where he could drop out of henshin and change into clothes. It was slightly more dignified. Todayama never was. Dignified, that was.
And as he lay in the field, naked, tired after his first transformation as a full Oni, it was Zanki-san who grinned, reminded him, and lent him his jacket. Then he, with dignity, walked away.
Todayama wrapped the jacket around himself and ran after Zanki-san, wishing he was as graceful as his mentor.

Date: 2009-01-04 11:23 am (UTC)Anyway, moving on, I really kind of adore this. :) Poor Todoroki, feeling kind of self-conscious next to his teacher, even though Zanki's had longer to get used to everything than he has.
