I was wandering around LJ when I ran into this:

anti-gay marriage ad on LJ

I'm sure most of my flist has seen the link, but wanted to post it anyway.

perrito's journal has links about how the ad is LJ's ad-provider's choice, not LJ's, and that LJ made a very prompt response to complaints and took action.

It's pretty much already over and done with... LJ had the ad pulled as soon as users reported it to them. (Feel free to interpret this as "they didn't act until someone complained" or "they were as surprised as anyone else, and acted as soon as they knew about it".)

It figures... I'm a day late or so. (I picked up from metafandom on the aftermath.)

I'm guessing the correct answer will be "surprised" because I was on the support end of something similar today.
